West Ham respond to “who’s in charge” poser

West Ham are refusing to say who has the final word on transfers in and out of the club during this and future transfer windows.

However, in response to the question from Claret and Hugh our top source admitted the situation had certainly arisen when he declared “Time will tell”

However, he added later:” We always do stuff by mutual agreement. We’ve added a very experience eye to recruitment.”

That in itself was enough to reveal that whilst David Moyes and Tim Steidten will hope to work well together they will both hope to bring in their own players.

One would assume that Moyes decided to stay on at the club when allegedly considering his future because he may have been offered a veto on new arrivals.

But at the same time that doesn’t entirely explain why a Technical Director would be employed if his suggestions for signings weren’t considered equally important so one hopes that the pair will be able to work well together and find sensible and amicable compromises when required.
