West Ham team news and likely lineup

|

West Ham are second in the Premier League injury table on PhysioRoom

Javier Hernandez is expected to be available after training all week and could well start in place of Marko Arnautovic who has been excluded from the squad that travelled to the South coast this afternoon.

Ryan Fredericks trained some of the week but is not expected to return until the end of January, Fabian Balbuena is recovering from a small operation and is not expected to return until late February with Physio Room targeting 22 February.

Winston Reid’s return date has moved out to 4th February but there are no accurate return dates for Jack Wilshere, Yarmolenko, Carlos Sanchez and Manuel Lanzini. Samir Nasri is likely to start again after an impressive game against Arsenal in which he got an assist.

Possible team: Fabianski, Zabaleta, Diop, Ogbonna, Cresswell; Noble, Rice, Nasri,  Anderson, Antonio, Hernandez

Adrian, Andy Carroll, Arthur Masuaku, Pedro Obiang, Robert Snodgrass, Grady Diangana and Conor Coventry are likely to be the subs.

To use a couple of sporting analogies, it’s time for our four other strikers to step up to the plate and kick hollywood Arnie into touch.

No Lucas Perez? Is he injured? or are they still lining up his sale? As opposed to Connor Coventry

If Antonio, Anderson and Snoddy can top their prowess with some improved marksmanship we’ll be home and dry 🙂 I hope AC doesn’t get too physical in the challenges, given his glass ankles. What a great team we have now. COYI ⚒
