Graham Potter’s first line up of the summer friendly series has just been released and the news is that there will be not one but TWO teams deployed, presumably one of reach half of the friendly fixture against Grasshopper Zurich.

Niclas Fullkrug gets to lead the line in the first half as West Ham name a strong starting eleven: Bowen is back to his traditional preferred starting position on the right with Maxwel Cornet – returned form a season long loan – starting as a left winger.. intriguing to see if Cornet can make an impact on Graham Potter in a way he failed to do with Lopetegui or Moyes before him.

Midfield consists of Andy Irving, Guido Rodriguez and James Ward Prowse.

The first half lineup will see Alphonse Areola start at the back,  behind a back four – surprisingly – of Jean-Clair Todibo and Maximilian Kilman in the centre and Hammer of the Year Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Young Hammer of the Year Ollie Scarles in the full-back positions.

WEST HAM UNITED

Areola, Todibo, Kilman, Wan Bissaka, Scarles, Cornet, Ward Prowse, Rodriguez, Irving , Bowen Fullkrug

From the old Bobby Moore Upper to the Billy Bonds' stand these days - sometimes- have to admit I have not renewed my season ticket... I've been watching since '03 and a supporter since about 1970..
Favourite player - Dean Ashton: Still watch YouTube repeats of the Cup Final of 2006 hoping in vain that Shaka Hislop grows six inches and stops Steven Gerrard's injury time equaliser. Can tell I'm getting old knowing I saw both Mark Noble's debut and his last game at West Ham.
Pulling on a Claret and Blue replica shirt still makes me feel the same butterflies as when I was seven years old. Magic.

Bowen free to roam in first half. AWB doing all the right wing marauding

Hi Martin, do we know what the 2nd team will be? As there are not many substitutes listed above?
