Following a three week break, West Ham’s Championship campaign re-starts tonight at 8pm under the lights in a home London derby against sixth placed Queens Park Rangers in a high stakes encounter.
Win, and West Ham would head back to top spot and put the pressure back onto Swansea who play Norwich tomorrow: Lose and QPR would leapfrog the Hammers into second place themselves.
Nuno’s principal fitness concerns relate to his overworked international duo Konstantinos Mavropanos and Manor Solomon who have returned from arduous Nations League games when their stamina and endurance took big hits. However, the duo have made it straight back into West Ham’s starting line up tonight.
But it’s in inclusion of Tomas Soucek from the start which is bound to cause the biggest stir as Nuno has gone with one up top.
The starting line up has just been announced and here it is:
West Ham United:
| No. | West Ham Starting XI |
|---|---|
| GK | Mads Hermansen |
| RB | Kyle Walker-Peters |
| CB | Konstantinos Mavropanos |
| CB | Max Kilman |
| LB | Morato |
| CM | Arne Engels |
| CM | Tomáš Souček |
| AM | Divine Mukasa |
| RW | Jarrod Bowen (C) |
| LW | Manor Solomon |
| CF | Taty Castellanos |
kick off is at 20.00 and the game will be broadcast live on Sky Sports – for those of you without TV subscriptions, why not head over to hammers chat and enjoy the watch along with Geo.
Gonzo will be back with his player ratings immediately after the game.
Come On You Irons!
Looks like a strong lineup to me, should also be a strong bench, I’m predicting 2-0
