West Ham’s penultimate game of the 2024/5 season gets underway at 14.15 this afternoon and Graham Potter will be juggling the needs of the club along with the individual farewells of several players: Thirteenth spot is still possible, amazingly, after such a below par season if results go West Hams way today and next week.

With senior players Cresswell, Ings, Fabianski and Coufal definitely appearing at London Stadium for the last time, the hope will be that each could appear for a few minutes to receive their applause.

Nottingham Forest however will be hungry for points to keep their Champions’ League push going to the wire. So there will be no room for sentiment as Potter names his strongest side. Each Premier League position is worth something around three million in performance money so there is much to play for in this end of season contest.

Potter’s team selection has just been published and here it is- unchanged from the Manchester United victory:
West Ham United:

Areola, Coufal, Todibo, Kilman, Cresswell, Wan-Bissaka, Rodriguez, Ward Prowse, Soucek, Kudus, Bowen

From the old Bobby Moore Upper to the Billy Bonds' stand these days I've been watching since '03 and a supporter since about 1970.. Don't take my comments too seriously, imagine we are having a chat at half time over a pint at L S and "let's disagree without falling out".

  • Darkhorse says:

Our only hope is that Forest misfire as Man U did last week.

  • Andy Stone says:

Two strikers on the bench none starting. At least we’ll have our best player playing out of position to accommodate it.

    • Will we ever learn says:

      SkySports stats said it all.

We averaged over 14 shots per game under JLo which has reduced to under 10 with Potter.

Only Leicester, Ipswich and Southampton have marginally worse records than this.

What was the point of Ferguson coming in on loan when his scoring record was absolutely woeful?

Kalvin Phillips & Evan Ferguson illustrate how desperately poor recruitment is at the club. Neither of which were attributed to Tim 🤦‍♂️

  • Mick Bering says:

Please not Kilman in again Do we never learn
