West Ham finally sell Declan Rice

|

A mightily relieved major Hammers insider last night declared one word when asked if the deal to sell Declan Rice for £105 million was completed responded by simply declaring: “DONE.”

The club signed the paperwork for the deal after telling Claret and Hugh earlier:  “I’ve never known anything like this saga”

The Gooners  are now set to announce deal before leaving for US tour on Sunday and Declan will now be with them as the biggest British signing since the Premier League started

The transfer was agreed eight days ago and the Hammers were becoming increasingly frustrated by the delay to complete the deal but  David Moyes is now hopefully ready to launch his own moves.

The West Ham manager had told reporters at his first Australian tour presser that the hold up was affecting the Hammers plans so now there is no reason to be talking like that again

Let’s hope it means that we will move quickly into the summer window and bring in the two or three signings which have been regularly mentioned
