Bilic heaps praise on Sakho

slaven-bilic-diafra-sakho-west-ham_3343834Slaven Bilic is delighted with the attitude being displayed by Diafra Sakho both on and off the pitch.

After running foul of some infamous summer incidents with Rennes the striker is back in favour with the boss who has heaped an unusual amount of praise on him.

Bilic has never been entirely clear on the circumstances surrounding the trip to France and the reports that the player had undergone a medical.

But his view appears to be that not all was as it seemed although he has refused to elaborate.

However, he is clearly pleased to have to player returning to his best and pushing for more game time saying: “Sakho, as I said last week, his attitude and mood is spot-on, really spot-on.

He looks really motivated in training and that’s why he was playing for us from the start or coming on. I have no complaints whatsoever and I am not trying to hide things.

His determination is really good and he looks really good, injury-free and willing to train and play good for West Ham United.”

And he added: ““We are through in the cup with another clean sheet, which is very important. I told the guys we should build on this and it’s been a good eight days for us – three clean sheets, four points in the Premier League and going to the next round of the cup.

“Every little positive thing helps you get back to where you want to be, so this was definitely a positive.”

  1. Lovely stuff. I know you’re a big Sakho fan too, Hugh 😉

  2. Good to here I think what he did and has done is ridiculous but he is here and is a good striker honestly think him and Chicharito would be better as top 2 then Chicharito and AC. Sahko likes to shoot and is actually a rounded CF think Chicharito could do well in the box with him getting behind. Not sure AC trying to Head flip to Chic will work to well.
But not saying don’t sell in Jan if we can get £10m and get in another striker who is less moody. BC come summer he will leave I’m sure bc he won’t get 6 league goals coming on w 10m to go. And that was the deal that he would get more money and new contract if scored 6 and played games but has to be given chance to play.
Good problem to have and we haven’t in a while 3 for striker who all over something different in their style of play.
