Obiang injury blow

Pedro scored his first ever Hammers game

Mark Noble is on standby to take over from Pedro Obiang in the Irons midfield on Saturday.

Obiang is understood to have pulled a muscle in the game against West Brom and was not even on the bench for the game against Bolton Wanderers last night.

And ClaretandHugh learned today that the injury – whilst not serious – may be sufficient to keep him out of the lunchtime clash with Spurs this weekend.

Noble has his first run out against Bolton last night since taking a knock himself and looked in decent nick in the Caraboa Cup clash at the London Stadium.

But Obiang’s absence is a blow and the second to hit the Irons following the ankle ligament injury problem suffered by James Collins.

However, we were assured that this is a small injury and that the midfielder is expected back for the game against Swansea City at home next Saturday.

  1. No good def want him on against Spurs.

  2. Worse possible news . If Noble plays against the spuds we are dead in the water . If Obiang not fit one of the youngsters must take his place not yesterdays man . He is slow and immobile and now that his legs have gone his total lack of ability is glaringly obvious for all to see . Bilic must see past the loyalty tag and change it for ability . Loyalty will cost us games while ability might just get us some points . TAXI for NOBLE ( long distance ! ) COYI

  3. Are you guys serious… did you not see the defence splitting ball he played in order for Arnautovic to get the assist for Sakho’s goal.
He may not have the legs, but he’s still a better passer of the ball than Kouyate.
And also has the determination and steel that we may need against a Spurs team!

    • Yes mate , serious as you like lol!!!
Didn’t see the rest of the game then , Bolton ! Spuds, !! are you having a laugh or what 😂
One pass and he’s a saviour , a ball over the top that anyone on the park could have made
With the space he was allowed by a really poor side and he’s spuds material 😂
Sakho was class but the poppodom and noble will probably start lofl 😎

      • I didn’t compare bolton with Tottenham.
I said that he’s a better passer than Kouyate..
And he’s got determination and steel.
So I don’t think there is any need to be a complete c**t about the situation.
        Wind your neck in….
I’m most certainly not Noble’s biggest fan.
But you can never doubt his desire and loyalty to the cause.

  4. Here we go 6 games in and the injuries have stated now let’s see how the squad copes ..I and a lot of others said this would happen …no way was the squad big enough in quality especially.. So so obvious
