Bilic spoilt for choice

Winston-Reid-714445West Ham are set to have the entire squad fit for the clash with Huddersfield – although Marko Arnautovic will serve out the last game of his suspension.

And that could see Slaven Bilic  put out the strongest West Ham team we have seen in months and months.

ClaretandHugh has learned that both Winston Reid and Manu Lanzini will be fit for the game – barring training ground “accidents” – and that Andy Carroll looks certain to be on the bench.

Diafra Sakho is now back in training and there have been no further behavioural issues which could easily bring him into the team as a starter against The Terriers.

Manu is back in the Hammers squad

Most expect to see the manager adopt a “go for it” 4-4-2 approach to his first home game after adopting a back foot counter attacking formation during the three away games.

That was effective to some extent in the second half at Southampton but “less said soonest mended” as far as man U and Newcastle are concerned.

This is the team we could see next Monday night: Hart; Zabaleta, Reid, Ogbonna, Cresswell; Antonio, Kouyate, Lanzini, Obiang; Sakho, Hernandez.

That looks as strong as it gets with, fingers crossed, Carroll coming off the bench where there should be a place reserved for the unfortunate Declan Rice.

  1. So his usual 11 then.

  2. At home with an attacking side, we ought to create plenty of chances.

Bilic must be aware the Huddersfield play a high press game.

    Points please!

  3. If this does turn out to be the starting 11 with Carroll as an impact sub there can be no more excuses if we lose.Hard to see Bilic survive if this lot cannot roll over Huddersfield with a much improved performance.

  4. It’s not the choice of players it’s the players putting in a shift and wanting to win rather than stroll around !! We couldn’t pass out of our backfield because our midfield couldn’t move there arse to find spaces off the ball and so we just punted it upfield only to be intercepted and then put on our back foot again .!!. It’s so predictable you could read who was going to get the ball before the pass because it only went side ways or back !!!

  5. It will be fine. Boleyn under the lights..er..well, that other place under the lights. Wake up you lot sitting back there in the dark! A chance for the players to take out all their frustration on Shuddersfield. The Earth will move…

  6. I really hope that is the starting 11 because without Sakho supporting Hernandez we will be pretty toothless. Huddersfield are no mugs so everyone needs to know how important this game is to us fans. Unless Noble is injured I thing he will be in for either Obiang or Kouyate.

  7. Really think he won’t start noble? Said in January that his desiscion to keep starting noble will cost him his job. We will see on Monday if he is up to the task in whether he starts him or not.

  8. Happy with that team from what is available . Pray to whoever you believe in that Capt Awful does not get in the squad . COYI

  9. Noble will start.I dont see him not starting.Though im sure he will get the hook at some point.

  10. Some of you internet moaners should read this and fee lucky in life instead of acting like the world is caving in!

  11. Nice touch Noble Warrior.
Sums up all the troubles whufc are going through.
IT AINT AS IMPORTANT AS LIFE ITSELF.
ALL THE VERY BEST TO THIS FELLOW HAMMER.
I dont care who plays as long as we get three points.

  12. Point taken Noble Warrier – A sense of perspective.

  13. You just know he will start noble …good side but how many times will we be able to
Play it this season. We all could do with a win I think to Cheer everyone up …don’t shoot me but unless we go on a run and dont loose in ten games I’m still worried and still a Slav out man ..but I will support.. Coyi

  14. Sheesh Noble Warrior what did you post that link for,its made me sad.
Contrary to popular belief i do have a heart 😀
Noble will start all day long imo.Captain, leader, legend, thats what i read somewhere anyway 😂

  15. It’s time Slaven grew a pair, and dropped Noble, his reluctance too will cost us points and him his job.

  16. No excuses then. Simple as that !

  17. Since when has he ever started with 2 upfront and he will start with Noble; sorry he is not up to the job but naturally I have my fingers crossed for the 3 Pts

  18. He will probably bench sakho to play noble IMO ?1 up top ? Hope not but fully expect it 😉

    • That’s what I think also Laz, what about Ayew’s muscle fatigue according to the other article, he will probably bench Obiang and play Noble like he did at the barcodes and bench Sakho for Ayew, he is quite fond of trying to prove a point at the teams expense.

  19. It’s a bit concerning we’ve only named a 22 man Squad – what can they be thinking?

I know young players don’t get included in this number but it’s still more than a bit worrying!

  20. If you check the other teams squads Michael many of them don’t have 25 players listed without the youngsters.WBA only have 19.
Stop finding things too worry about 😂😂

  21. If it makes you feel better Chelski only have 21 registered without the youngsters 😀
