David Moyes was in Spain on Sunday to watch Barcelona beat Real Betis.Gomes appears to beout of the Hammers reach as he is now regularly starting for Barcelona but Law says Moyes is still deliberating over whether or not to make an offer for Fabián.
Gomes was a Spurs target last summer, but is expected to stay at the Nou Camp until the end of the season after forcing his way back into Barça’s team.
While Moyes was in Spain, West Ham’s assistant manager Stuart Pearce travelled to Belgium to watch Anderlecht’s Leander Dendoncker but the trip proved to be wasted as he played in defence says the report.

By Spanish standards he looked quite fast, but compared to the EPL, he looked quite slow for such a young guy. That said, other facets of his game looked quite good!
Dendonder has played all this season at CB in middle of a three. He is hardly ever tested so can’t be judged.
Nordveit and Kouyate also played their last seasons at their previous clubs at CB, so it’s hit or miss.
I am told Dendonder is a dam good defensive midfield player, and on u-tube he is obviously very 2 footed; a good passer.

He is a good DM with a solid range if passing too bit w all these injuries I think chances of getting him went down bc been playing CB this season tho played CM last season.
Tho I do like Ruiz too a very good dribbler has some pace for height & good passer is good making long thru passes like Lanzini only 21. Needs to work on finishing but good tackler too.
I’d be delighted w either but we know Dendoncker wants the move & Henry has been admirer for some time.
Still need some added creativity & if we got Maddison be great free kick specialist great dribbler & can even pkay up front & has pace.
If we had loaned Sameulsen to them which been a better loan anyway could have better chance of getting him.
We be lucky to get one permanent buy & a loan but really need 3-4 players
I watched the Betis-Barcelona match and Gomis was more noticable than Luis for his aggression, and he is not coming, so if he doesn’t sign him or Luis, it won’t be for the lack of money.
Dondenkers boss has said he won’t be leaving, so again all these transfers are unlikely.
Expect cheap players with age and on loan ? If nobody is in by Friday corporal Jones starts the negotiating 😂
