Deulofeu and the Hammers

|

Gerard+Deulofeu+xkAL4h2nrBdmReports during the day that West Ham are involved in negotiations for Barcelona’s Gerard Deulofeu are wide of the mark.

The suggestion was first reported by El Gol Digital as Hammers boss David Moyes stepped up his hunt for a right winger.

Coupled with reports that the manager was in Spain scouting and looking to do deals, the reports gained pace but the reality is that we are not talking to Barca about the player.

Deulofeu is well known in England, due to his spell at Everton, and although still a raw prospect – he has a great deal of ability.

He returned to Barcelona last summer, but the signings of Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele have seen him become a marginal figure at the Nou Camp and he is certainly not on the Hammers radar at this stage.

We were told emphatically by a senior Hammers source there had been no negotiations for the 23 year old.

It was Fabian Ruiz of Real Betis.Cannot believe a word till any of these crazy rumours are cast in stone. Its all still hearsay and i make it about 30 players that have been put forward as transfer targets.

Very true but if spending £20m would not prefer Deloufou much rather go after Maddison who think would fit right in PL & adda much needed creativity & free kick specialist. Great dribble & movement will only get better.
Should of loaned Sameulsen to Norwich been more attacking club not fighting relegation & could use a make way to get Madisson
