Hammer set to pay up four contracts

West Ham are prepared to write off £4 million on flop players in the transfer market should they receive no offers for the not so fab four!

The club hopes that offers to take on Simone Zaza or Jonathon Calleri will save them a total write-off but it was made clear to ClaretandHugh this evening that a clear-out is on the way regardless.

Calleri has small chance left to impress.

Calleri has small chance left to impress.

Gokhan Tore is now back in Turkey receiving treatment on an injury but we were told he would not be returning and that the Hammers were prepared to pay him up along with Zaza, Álvaro Arbeloa and Calleri unless the Argentine striker suddenly found some incredible form.

That would free up the wage bill and allow the club some real room for manoeuvre in the January window where a top striker has emerged as the main priority.

CandH’s top source revealed: “If we can cut deals with other clubs to pay a percentage of the loan fee left on the deals good but it looks likely that otherwise we are very likely to  come to agreements with the players.”

Based on our information that would see the club forking out around £4 million  on the disappointing quartet.
