Hammers fans name their Lanzini replacement

|

Hammers fans believe Crystal Palace’s Ruben Loftus Cheek is the man required to fill the gaping hole left in the first team squad following Manu Lanzini’s injury.

It’s a question dominating the manager and board’s collective psyche at the moment but of seven possible replacements suggested in a ClaretandHugh poll, the 22 year old is the man the fans want.

We asked which of the seven ( or indeed someone else apart from them) the fans believed was the man for the job and over 1200 votes were case.

Loftus Cheek collected 349 votes ( 28.44 per cent share of the poll) with Paris St Germain’s Javier Pastore collecting 268 ( 21.84 pe cent) and Jack Wilshere 255 (20.78).

The Arsenal midfielder’s hgh percentage was a surprise given his injury record with even former IronĀ  Geoff Hurst ruling out a move for him.

The other candidatesĀ  – James Maddison, Jack Grealish Joe Allen and Harry Arter – collected around 400 votes between them which amounted to about 40 per cent of the votes cast.

I wonder if Palace’s interest in Antonio plays a part in getting RLC?

Interesting that no one considers Hernandez. Is he just a goal-hanger or can he also take the ball into the box?
