Hammers will listen to offers for big signing

|

andrew-ayew-west-ham_3766955Andre Ayew could be on his way from West Ham in the transfer window but speculation that he could return to Swansea is wide of the mark.

The £20 million midfielder/striker has featured as a sub for David Moyes but appears to be out of his starting XI plans when the squad is up to full-strength.

And we understand that should a bid be received for the 27 year old then it would be considered as the manager looks at ways of boosting his transfer kitty for the window.

However, suggestions that the £20 million signing could be allowed to leave for half that fee are not in the ball park with the Irons hoping for something closer to £15 million.

Swansea are unable to match the wages Ayew is on at the London Stadium as they flirt dangerously with relegation.

They are currently rock bottom in the Premier League and would be unwilling to offer such numbers as they make provisional plans for relegation.

    Something not quite right here..
There has been talk of Sakho leaving in January, and one has to ask the obvious question-can we afford to let Sakho and Ayew to leave at the same time. Moyes must be very careful here; while Arnautovic is playing so well, we could be very short on quality strikers if we go on a wholesale spending spree of our current strikers. Not sure that we can rely on Andy Carroll; Antonio can play as a makeshift striker; Martinez is probably not quite ready for regular first grade play, and Lanzini’s recent form has been worrying.
On what we know, seems like we will require 2 strikers in addition to a solid defensive midfielder.

Lots of talk. Sakho is leaving, we’ll listen to offers for Ayew and Caroll. Until two weeks ago I recall this site reporting we’d be prepared to sell Artounavic and Obognna aswell…the list will go on whenever someone isn’t in the starting 11 or playing well.

Brady did say we would sell some players meaning more than 1 prob 2.
But I think Ayew would be a mistake not everyone’s fav but I like him he is versatile not a lone striker tho best in #10 2nd striker & can play wings. Not to mention our top scorer in all comps w 5 goals & 3 assists. He had 6&5 last season playing just half a season.
He has a knack for goals some pace can create space & versatile. Think selling him would be a mistake.
Sakho yes 6mo left let him go our swaud is so thin tho & if some offers a decent amount for AC I would take it but need replacements first. Unlike w have done recently.
Ayew is 27 & even as squad player is important.

I also don’t want to see any of the youngsters sold on Jan.
Looking at Moore w Bukre coming home who is very similar not has experience bc 3 years younger but same height & can cover RB. I’d rather see Moyes get some time with these kids.
And if we keep up organised like these I think a CB can wait w Rice Kouyate Cress Oggy Reid & now Burke.
    Need a creator

Ayew was a good player at Swansea, I like his attitude even if we haven’t found exactly the right position for him, I certainly wouldn’t want to lose any goal scorers but if someone has to be sacrificed to fill a problem position then so be it, Moyes has done well so far and anything that will help him build the squad he needs, certainly wages wise we know Ayew is on in excess of 110k a week which according to Sully is what Swansea offered him to sign for them on a free transfer, I can actually see him going back to Swansea, payments are structured over a few years so in order to save money and reduce the wage bill he may be allowed to return there.

Why would you even think about selling or loaning a player to a relegation rival
