Midfielder pursuit back on as club names its price

|

ArterWest Ham have had new breath injected into their pursuit of Bournemouth’s Harry Arter with the Cherries naming their price for the midfielder.

The player – despite signing a new four year deal in the summer – is keen to make the switch to the London Stadium but the Irons will need to stump up £15 million to get him.

ClaretandHugh has had it confirmed we went in with an opening bid of £7 million which was no more than an exercise in testing the water.

And despite the alleged “no way at any price” response,  the south coast club are ready to let the player go at the right price.

Arter is ready  to move on and would far prefer the Irons to Crystal Palace where Roy Hodgson is credited with holding an interest.

However, the Hammers will hold off until manager David Moyes has made it clear whether Arter remains at the top of his target list given the various midfield options that have been mentioned.

The manager is determined to get value for money as he bids to strengthen the team for the vitally important second half of the season.

What happened to Carvalho? Surely getting him should trump players like Arter? Good grief

😂 sully happened to carvhalo roman ? 15 mill for sakho (joke ) 10 – 15 for smolov ? 15 for arter from the petty cash leaves 15 mill for the pea to balance the books , they spend nothing like they should to get quality in and next level (😂😂) wheel and deals for the small club in a big running track boasting next levels that they can’t deliver on !! We still need a c/h , a creative m/f player even if we do sign the mentioned players ! Then we need depth to be added , rice is a plus , but still need squad depth , but no money to bring them in ?
Whoever they bring in make it quick and give the team a boost if that’s possible !
So what’s happening with ayew ? The 20 mill floppy ? Mawson maybe ? 😉

Arter is a decent player but not what we need & for £15m I’d rather pkay Cullen who could be just as good or better then Arter.

He be a squad player here & that’s too much & is 28 now good players but £15m elsewhere could add some much needed creativity in midfield.
