Noble asks if night out was such a bad idea!

|

West Ham United v Southampton - Premier LeagueMark Noble hasn’t been slow to justfy the players night out after the win at Crystal Palace.

And he has also been at pains to describe how much it hurt as the team received so much early criticism.

The team were savaged  over their appalling defending – and of course the Slav-sanctioned night out – which has brought about an internal investigation.

And Noble explained how tough he has found things of late saying: “It’s not nice to pick up your phone and read how bad we are.

“People saying that we’re this and we’re that. I watched TV before the game and saw people saying how bad our defending was.

“That win was a little boost for us. Just to show we do care. We really, really care. The way we’ve trained, the way we are as players, it’s really important to us.

“When you look at it, by all accounts we’ve had a terrible start, our worst in how many years. But we’re only a point now behind Leicester, who won the league last season. Start winning a couple of games and it doesn’t look so bad after all.

“We’ve had meetings as players, with the staff. We got hammered for going out on a night out, but since that night we’ve picked up four points, so is it a bad thing? I don’t know.”

Its unbelievable.Last week we were reading all these knee jerk comments.Slaven has lost the dressing room, the team are useless,it might be time for a new manager.

The same was said after the Bournmouth game Rick, I even went on our sister site to make comment on this very fact lol. I beleive that if we had beaten Watford we would have pushed on & be alot higher up the league. That result knocked us for six & we hadn’t been able to get over it until maybe the 2nd half of M’boro when Payet took it into his own hands & put some passion into the side. On saturday we started the game on overdrive & could have got more than one. Whoever was commentating said we needed to turn all our pressure into a goal, a few mins later we duly delivered. Need to take this into the Sunderland game & not be the 1st team to lose to them.

We have only had one good performance, Slav should now start working the players hard every week, he has seen the result of that as clear as day against Palace, the players did all step up and congratulations, the night out was a good idea and I am sure has helped but don’t sit on your laurels that is why we are in this position, just as last season is history so is the Palace result, in PL and most leagues to be fair you have to prove yourself every single match that’s what we expect so COYI !!!

Yep its always best to try & keep fairly level head when things aint going too well. You usually find the fans who go over the top & start screaming from the rafters end up looking tools in the end Lol
The funniest thing is that i see no one moaning about selling tomkins since saturday 😉

The change in system was a brave move by Bilic and it paid off. Knowing a player as good as Cresswell is supporting your wing will have made a big difference to the freedom other players felt, and they duly delivered a performance that mirrored last year. We deserved it too, unlike the Bournemouth result, so let’s hope we kick on. The only disappointment is losing Cresswell for the next game.
