Parksey tells Slav he must sort home sickness

PParkesExclusive

Phil Parkes has told boss Slaven Bilic he has to quickly find a system which will ensure that visiting teams are broken down at the Boleyn.

Obviously pleased with the away form, Parksey wants to see the gaffer get it right at home very soon and said: “A 4-4-2 would be lovely but a 4-3-3 is probably more likely.

He told ClaretandHugh exclusively: “We have creative players and should be able to break teams down but it didn’t look good against either Leicester or Bournemouth.

“In the case of the Cherries they are a team that has to attack or get found out but we need to work out a system that sorts teams out at the Boleyn.

“We don’t want it becoming like the promotion season when we won away from home regularly but allowed teams to sit and found we couldn’t break them down at home.

“We had a decent transfer window although I’ve never been sure about Jelavic Slaven seems to think he knows his game and can get him performing so fingers crossed.

“The strikers are coming back quickly now so hopefully all will be well but it’s a challenge to Slav and one he has to meet – I believe he will.”

  1. It looked bad in the 2 home games because players were not comfortable with the new system of playing the ball along the ground and from the back,
The players looked more secure with the system and now that we have better players who are comfortable on the ball and the midfielders know they have to cover the backs coming forward we should have no trouble building on our victory,
But I agree with Moses and Antonio joining Lanzini,Payet,Zarate and Sakho up front we should be able to break with speed and wide forcing the opposition to sit back a bit and allow us to put more pressure on them

  2. Individual errors cost us against the cherries and the first goal against the fox’s was.fortunate with the rebound from the save ,
There should be no problem at home once Bilic establishes the new system .
As bubs said the new signings will help big time .

  3. Just looked at the explanations from Hacket on ask the ref about red card rules ?
I asked the question how does he explain the red he gave gale v notts forest ???
I wonder if he will reply ??
Also asked about ings cheating !!!!

No replays or even showing the questions on the site !

  4. Bilic has to get it right , and soon . . It’s no good getting Surprise results ( that’s what they were ) and loseing to recently promoted teams at Home .
If it is a mentality thing , then things are bad ; we are talking about Premiership players , not schoolboys . Maybe the home support gives us the jitters ,, but that shouldn’t be the case .
If it’s an issue of style ,, then argue with the fans ,, and not blame the team for under performing . We deserve better than loseing at home to inferior opposition .
We are a lot better than that , and it’s time to show it .
Every fan should be now expecting a home win against Newcastle ;; Why Not .
It would be in keeping with ” the West Ham way ” whatever that is !! Been a supporter for 50 years and still don’t know what it really is ,,,,,, that’s being honest . I have seen many styles and many Managers ,, but it has gotten us nowhere ., apart from the occasional Banana skin for bigger clubs ., and relegation .
It’s time for us to be A Big Club and stop living between the First and second division .
Bilic has to deliver and so do The Expensive Players .
Getting tired of seeing the same old West Ham for the last 50 years . I am expecting something good this season ,, and why not ,, with all the hype surrounding Bilic .
Excuses are becoming exhaustive for me as a supporter and life long Fan .

Come on you Hammers . Please .

    • Kevin some of the home support need to support not simply turn after 15 mins and shout Bilic out and profess there love of the good old days in November last year whilst forgetting January- May. It’s amazing that Bilic has to deliver now because of signing players but when DS and DG wanted top 10 after investing 18 million on a striker, 8 million on a cry baby, 11 million on a winger that couldn’t cross and wanted top 10 were shot down by certain fans and told as long as we stay up that’s more important and we’ve got the right manager for us because he does his job lol.. Yes the home form needs to improve but having been to Arsenal and Liverpool and watch us win for the 1st time in the same season over the 35 years of supporting them, watching a team unlike last year who isn’t scared of keeping the ball, a team who when winning doesn’t retreat hoping they might hold on and watching players like Payet and Lanzini play with skill and pace which I haven’t seen in the last 4 years puts me safe in the knowledge that Slav will sort it. What we need is so called fans stopping having knee jerk reactions and calling for the manager out after 3 games, fans booing after 20 mins at the Bolewyn and those that call for a man who spent heavily yet was deemed one of the greatest because he simply did his alleged job and kept us up. For once the future looks bright so let’s be united in the support of the club and the team.

  5. Give the negativety a rest Kevin FFS!!!!!!!

    WELL PUT GW !!
