Pellegrini to run rule over Hammers striker at PNE

|

Manuel Pellegrini is set to get his first sight of gifted young striker Toni Martinez at Preston tomorrow (Sat) should he decide to give the Spaniard a run out at Preston North End.

The 21 year old has joined up with the first team squad since returning from a loan spell at Real Valladolid and is hoping to get a chance to impress the manager on a first appearance.

Martinez has been highly touted over recent seasons and it will be interesting to see how his spell on loan has helped his game should the boss decide to run the rule over him.

The Hammers will be without both Chicharito and Lukasz Fabianski for the game as they return from their extended post World Cup breaks on Monday.

So this is a big chance for Martinez in particular to show what he’s got as the manager addresses the front position after strengthening at the back and in midfield.

The match from North End will be shown either on West Ham’s Facebook or You Tube channel with an announcement to be made close to kick off.
