Manuel Pellegrini will snub the recent tradition of involving an ex Hammer in his backroom team at the London Stadium.
With the likes of Teddy Sheringham and Stuart Pearce involved under Sam Allardyce and David Moyes, it was possible that the Chilean boss may bring in another former Iron.
But he clearly sees that as a token gesture and instead will be sticking with the tried and tested team that has followed him around Europe and China over for most of his managerial career.
He did break with that scenario when using former Manchester City favourite Brian Kidd at City but there will be no repeats at the Hammers.
Instead – as reported here yesterday – long standing right hand man Ruben Cousillas will be Pellegrini’s assistant and also joining him will be goalkeeping coach Xabier Mancisidor and fitness coach Jose Cabello.
Good, if we are going to transform our approach a new broom can sweep clean hopefully.

Only one I would have liked would have been rio Ferdinand
Good, Pellegrini needs to be allowed to bring in who ever he thinks is the best person for the job. No interference, or names just to be a fan favourite.
Fully agree with you on that
