The Hammers are this morning being reported as having bid 17.5m bid for Borussia Dortmund forward Andriy Yarmolenko.
The report comes from Sky where it is claimed that one of their insiders says the deal is subject to a medical and work permit.
He joined the Bundesliga team German from Dynamo Kiev for £23m last summer making appearances for Dortmund last season, of which 21 were starts.
Meanwhile we are still in talks with Sporting Lisbon over the £20m signing of midfielder Bruno Fernandes.
We understand the Lisbon club – over who we had such fractured relationships regarding William Carvahlo – want another £5 million but that talks remain ongoing.
Not a good idea surely not a Pellegrini pick sounds more like Sullivan as he’s cheaper than real quality like Anderson. Yarmolenko has lost his mojo nowhere near good enough nowadays. Wonder your thoughts Hugh.
Lets not mess about Fernandes is worth 25 mil. He’ll be worth 2x 3x in a year or two.
If Fernandes was available for another £5m the deal would have been done already £25m is a fraction of his worth so purely as an assett let alone a player we would have signed him. Yarmolenko was sold to Dortmund for £23.5m last year I think ? This doesn’t seem to make sense does it that they would offload him for £6m less ?
THIS IS WHY!!!!!

lISBON have had four cancel contracts and thus they are available much cheaper
I didn’t say it did make sense. I said it was reported by Sky 32
This explains it better
