Report: Hammers bid for Bundesliga winger

|

The Hammers are this morning being reported as having bid 17.5m bid for Borussia Dortmund forward Andriy Yarmolenko.

The report comes from Sky where it is claimed that one of their insiders says the deal is subject to a medical and work permit.

He joined the Bundesliga team German from Dynamo Kiev for £23m last summer making  appearances for Dortmund last season, of which 21 were starts.

The 28-year-old – who has 76 caps for Ukraine – scored six goals to help Dortmund to a fourth-placed finish in last season’s Bundesliga.

Meanwhile we are  still in talks with Sporting Lisbon over the £20m signing of midfielder Bruno Fernandes.

We understand the Lisbon club – over who we had such fractured relationships regarding William Carvahlo – want another £5 million but that talks remain ongoing.
