Slav laying law down on ‘leaks’

|

bilic2Frustrated Slaven Bilic wants a clampdown on transfer speculation until the Hammers have played their last three critical games.

The manager wants every player in the squad focused on the games in front of them rather than worrying about whether they have a long term future at the club.

His frustration boiled over in yesterday’s press conference when discussing Michy Bashuayi after correcting a reporter’s pronunciation of his name, and telling him to do his homework before declaring: “ About these offers it is simply not true what is in the papers, as usual”

A  source told ClaretandHugh: “Slav is anxious about all the stories that are doing the rounds. There are players here who are uncertain about their situations and that will stretch to those who read about so called targets who play in their positions.

“The boss wants no leaks from anywhere because he really does need 100 per cent from every player which may not be available if they are concerned about anything. It’s understandable that he is trying to lay the law down.”
