11 managerial changes but Moyes still around!

|

By Simon Leyland

What with results going our way (for once) last night and the welcome three points against Southampton on Sunday you would imagine that the atmosphere at the London  Stadium to be more buoyant than usual.

No more so than in our supremo`s office, who despite overseeing a dismal last 15 months or so of league form, is still in situ.

It is perhaps the “West Ham way” not to chop and change managers.

But as news broke over the weekend of the departures of Potter and Rodgers from Chelsea and Leicester, it meant that 11 Premier League clubs have changed their managers during the current campaign – some of them twice!

Now take a guess….Who is the fourth longest serving manager in the Premier League?

It is our own David Moyes !

The ashen faced one has been in the job for three years now since his return to West Ham back in 2020.

Scary, isn`t it?

in post for 3 years and we finished 6th, 7th and got to Europa League SF. He should have been sacked by now but dont pretend his record hasnt been pretty good

The rumour has it that he’ll still be around come next season whatever happens. This season WH’s recovery seems to have only 2 speeds- slow and stop. Being relegated could set us back 4-5 years in a Championship dog-fight and I for one wouldn’t vote for him to get us back up any sooner. I’d rather bring back Alan Pardew!
