Rice snubs fan with Chelsea shirt

|

Hammer Declan Rice quite rightly refused to sign a Chelsea shirt after being handed one by a fan while on international duty with England.

The 22-year-old England international was on the books at Stamford Bridge as a youngster before being dumped by the London club at the age of 14 and his family were all Chelsea supporters in the past but it is not stupid enough to fall for a trick of signing a rival team’s shirt.

As he signed shirts inside the stadium at the end of the 1-1 draw against Poland in Warsaw, one supporter tried to hand him a Chelsea shirt.

But Rice walked away from the Chelsea fan, who was saying over and over: “You know where to go.”

Rice had been linked with a £100m  move to Chelsea or Manchester United in the summer but suitors were firmly told he is not for sale and no formal inquiries or bids were received.  Earlier this week Manchester City were added to the list of admirers according to a new report.
