Lucas Paqueta has only the faintest chance of appearing in the squad for the game against Spurs on Sunday afternoon.

The player – having given his own update on his fitness on social media – is expected back in a fortnight for the match against Nottingham Forest.

He fell on the same shoulder as he damaged when suffering a collar bone injury earlier in the season but thankfully the problem isn’t as intense this time.

The scan results have confirmed that early fears he would be out for weeks are falseĀ  and that the player looks set to make a far swifter recovery.

Nayef Aguerd – as we reported yesterday – has a chance of making the Spurs game but Paqueta’s problem could see Fornals return to the starting line-up.

The Hammers possible team will look like this: Fabianski, Coufal, Aguerd, Ogbonna, Emerson; Rice, Soucek; Fornals, Benrahma, Bowen; Antonio or Ings

We must select players who can compete in midfield technically. We have Benrahma, Fornals, Lanzini and Downes available plus Ings and Antonio, start looking forward Moyes, we can’t win if we can’t score.

I would stick with back 5, the team I would play Fab, Coufal, Kehrer, Ogbonna, Aguerd, Emerson, Rice, FORNALS, Bowen, Antonio, Benrahma.
