Slav speaks out on Carrow Road draw

|
HappybilicSlaven Bilic is  content with the Norwich result after a physically and mentally.sapping week of football.
Speaking to www.whufc.com he said: ” “You can talk about positives and negatives but when you consider we played for 120 minutes on Tuesday night and the fact we were two goals down here in a very short period of time, it was a good draw.
He said that subs Victor Moses and Emanuelle Emenike had made an impact explaining:“They made the difference – tThey made a huge impact and I expected that from them, but the way they made that impact was great and they deserve all the praise.”

Of Norwich he added: “Their first goal was absolutely our gift to them and their second you could call a bit unlucky because there was a deflection , so then you need team spirit and resilience, but you also need quality to come back.

“The way we played in the last half an hour was brilliant and I want to praise the team. The guys did really well to get a point for us.”

“I am expecting them to do it because they have that quality and they showed it. “The first goal was a brilliant move, but that’s why he’s Victor Moses and that’s why he is a West Ham player. I was then expecting a player to be there to finish the loose ball, whether that be Dimi or someone else.

“After that we continued to press them and continued to play and scored the second one and could have won the game.

“It summed it up that the home crowd, the home players and the home bench were unhappy with the five minutes of added time. After we got it back to 2-1, there was only one side on the pitch.

“OK, they had a last-second corner but it was us who were on top and wanted to win the game and didn’t want the game to stop.”

I think in spite of the reasons given by the manager it was another missed opportunity to get all 3 points. We know they are desperate to win to avoid relegation and again the selected team didn’t perform.I’m sorry but that’s the way I see things. Now we have 40 points give the youth a go. Klopp is doing it with Liverpool so why can’t Bilic? If we lose the likes of Oxford which I suggest is a possibility then who are we going to blame?

I would definitely like to see Oxford given a run at Centre back and Obiang although I am not sure he and Noble and Song compliment each other that well so one or both of them need to be dropped, I would like to see Kouyate, Obiang, Lanzini, Payet and Antonio with any attacker as the midfield in at least one game, maybe even against Leicester. Noble is an amazing servant to our club and he has had some good games recently but he just gets bypassed too easilly by passing teams, I noticed that happening to Obiang a little bit also in the Norwich game but at the moment he looks like a square peg in a round hole due to the incompattibility of playing with both Song and Noble and I think he would be better used further forward with kouyate and Lanzini sitting deeper, he is also a goal threat from outside the box and could be used to work with Payet and Antonio to close the ball down higher up the pitch.

This may not be a popular thing to say but do we miss a player like Kevin Nolan? Someone that takes control & yells at the players. We have all the ability in the world when we realise we are losing & we lift, we can come back from two down but leave it until we have no choice. Are we lacking a leader on the field & what mindset are we leaving the dressingroom with?
