Payet undergoes medical

|

MedicalDimitri Payet has been pictured ongoing a Marseille medical in the last hour. Assuming he passes the medical he will sign a contract with Marseille and West Ham will release his registration on agreement and transfer of the first installment of the transfer fee.

The Frenchman was shown smiling and laughing as he landed in a private plane in Marseille and he was happy to sign autographes and pose for selfies with Marseille fans who welcomed him back.

We are possibly a few hours away from the deal being completed and the 29 year old no longer being a West Ham player.

Although the transfer fee has been set £25m the deal is thought to include between £3-5m of potential add-ons and a 25% sell on clause should Marseille ever decide to sell him on.

It appears the Payet saga is finally coming to a close.

  • The Demon says:

Onwards and upwards – that’s us, not him. Given how poorly he’s played this season, Fonte + Snodgrass + £5-10m seems like a great deal.

I’m not bitter, but I do reserve the right to wet my pants if he breaks a leg next week.
