James Collins was my outstanding man of the match on Saturday but that is as much as for what he did off the ball as on it.
The Ginger Pele reminded us of his no-nonsense defensive skills at the weekend when he cleared ball after ball way up the pitch or into the crowd. Each clearance was important to retain our slender lead and grind out a one-nil win over Swansea.
Off the ball, Ginger Pele encouraged the crowd to get behind the team lifting his arms to persuade supporters to sing up. In return, the crowd sang a song to the tune of the Payet chant which starts “We’ve got Pele. Ginger Pele, I just don’t think you understand”
We’ve got Pele, Ginger Pele, I just don’t think you understand, he makes the girls wet he’s better than Payet, We’ve got ginger Pele

I wish he was 5 years younger. He is still our best out and out defender along with Reid.
Trouble is he don’t get no younger, and we should have a replacement by now.
Brave, no-nonsense, dominant and capable of bossing his team-mates into keeping a clean sheet. We don’t have another one.
In his own way he should be classed in the legend status, he never wanted to leave us the first time, like you says Sleeps he is an out and out defender, some people may notice he makes the odd mistake but the amount of times he saves us by charging balls down, making clearing headers or like the other day goal line clearances when you put all that into the balance he is worth his wait in ginger gold.
Loved the song. I’ve met him at UP and he is a big scary fecker. He makes the boys wet their pants too believe me!
