Slav set to go for it in a big way

|

HappybilicSlaven Bilic looks certain to send out his most attacking team of the season as the Irons look to grab the first win of the season at the LS on Monday night.

And that could mean unleashing Andy Carroll on Huddersfield where local newspapers have been making it clear that the Terriers  could be unfortunate in meeting the big fella.

Word from the training ground is the Irons will adopt a 4-4-2 formation with probably Sakho or Carroll supporting Hernandez up front.

The two formerly injured hitmen give Slav two entirely different ways of playing and for the fist game his preferred counter attacking approach is likely to be abandoned as the team go for it.

Things are set to change on Monday night and a team, formation and approach of which the fans will approve is likely to be in place.

Interesting times!

Jesus, do we ever need the three points. Come on West Ham give us something to smile about!

Any formation without Noble please …… COYI

  • JMan43 says:

We need to play with intensity otherwise we will be outfought and look how that ended at Newcastle.

As long as he doesn’t forget to play a viable midfield with a sitter and tell the back four to actually play as a back four rather than a 2 with both fullbacks bombing on, we should be ok.

Let’s hope he gets you win matches from a strong core need obiang and koyoute solid 3 centre halfs the wing backs bombing on and getting crosses in with Antonio Chico off either Sakho or Carrol. Keep the shape keep the system and make sure they work their nuts off.

I really hope he saves his job over the next few months, stating with Monday. ( whatever the formation )

Lets hope its Sakho he starts with and not Carroll. If it is Carroll to start with it means we are going to move the ball from the back to the front and to be honest I don’t ever want to see West Ham doing that unless we are 1-0 down with 15-20 mins to play. If Bilic does start Carroll it will be another kick in the teeth for Sakho. Sakho is the better player so give him the start – if he does not perform then he has no complaints.

Comparing how Huddersfield played Newcastle and how we didn’t, the difference was aggressive pressing. Newcastle learned from Huddersfield and did it to us.

Bilic should expect it and outpress them.

According to Lewin, Carroll won’t get much more than 20mins, so it will be a Sakho/Chicho combo to begin with.

I would like to see Holland and Hacksawbandage on the bench – both are attacking play-makers.

I’ve given up trying to guess Bilic tactics 442 would be good with a proper flat back 4, give Holland a run on one of the wings Antonio Kouyate and Obiang in midfield the whatever other 7 Slav wants but whoever plays they better be ready for an aggressive press if not and we lose then the manager should depart before another word is said.
