Bilic denies Sagna move

|

sagnaThis morning the Sun newspaper claimed that Bacary Sagna has reportedly snubbed a move to Brighton in favour of joining West Ham or Leicester. The French international was released by Manchester City at the end of last season and is currently a free agent.

The report followed a claim by French newspaper L’Equipe who said that he will soon have a new employer as he prepares to make a decision on his future in the coming days. L’equipe said both the Hammers and the Foxes have offered him a deal and he is nearing a decision on which one to join.

Bilic denied the link to West Ham as he wrote in his London Standard column on Friday:

“We have been linked with Bacary Sagna, who is out of contract and a free agent.

“Bacary is a fine player who has played at the highest standard, but he is a full-back and this is not a position in which we need strengthening.”
