Wholesale changes as reports name Irons team

|

Rice 3Slaven Bilic is set to make wholesale changes to the team for tonight’s match against Spurs at Wembley as we bid to advance in the League Cup competition.

We are hearing reports – backed by the X1 named on some Twitter accounts – that the manager is set to make as many as eight changes for a game which many are seeing as the first of two which gives him a chance to remain in his job.

That may or may not be the case as there has been absolutely no official confirmation of such a position but it’s a given that a great deal will rest on tonight’s clash with Spurs and Saturday’s away trip to Selhurst Park.

We have been told that tonight’s teamΒ  set to look like this:

(3-4-1-2) Adrian; Rice, Ogbonna, Kouyate; Byram, Noble Fernandes, Cresswell; Lanzini; Ayew, Carroll.

Realistically it looks – if correct – like a team put put in a bid to save what he sees as his first team for the Palace game.

    I can’t believe he won’t give Martinez a go ..

    • JRS says:

Me either. He doesn’t trust youth that’s why we spend Β£25m on 5yr deal Marko.
Have Toni Holland who have been great.
Toni has the same amount of goals as our whole squad even tho is Division 1 PL2 which he help to get promotion should earn him a bench spot.
Scored first hat trick in LS too

  • Dunlopilo says:

And there we re changing for the umpteenth time formation and positions… Kouyate centre back ? Why Creswell and not Masuaku as false left winger ? pffff.

  • Lazurus. rises like a salmon says:

Byrum , noble Fernandez, cresswell in m/f. ?
    Vic , Samuelson , obiang , Holland !
    Carroll. Martinez !!
Why not ! If bilic isn’t taking the comp serious what better way to see if the young UN’s can give it a go !!
Based on twitter ??reports ?? Its just speculation !!
Either way it looks like bilic is going to keep doing the same thing regardless , I just hope we make a good account of ourselves ?? I don’t think I can take much more more ribbing lol πŸ˜‰

  • Mr Buddy Lurve says:

Can’t say I’m full of confidence going into this one. The constant changing of formation suggests he’s either a tactical genius (and the players let him down) or a fool (and the players don’t know what to do)…

  • oldiron says:

Bloody great, play Carroll and then not put a winger in the team or anyone who can put in a decent cross.
Where is Holland, Martinez and the other brilliant U23s’ who need a game. I think it is bye bye Bilic on Saturday.

  • aol says:

Surely Rice will be CB with Kouyate in CM? Having said that, it’s immaterial because any 11 with Ayew involved will struggle.

  • hammers64 says:

Just going through the motions is Bilic.A dead man walking,Wont be at the club this time next week.

    • Dunlopilo says:

Maybe not, but how about a beautiful ending ? Or at least test the untested players, or the ones who have not received a proper chance to show what they have got in them ?

  • Hammerman6 says:

No Martinez or Holland very disappointing 😏

  • sweetfannyadams says:

I wonder if we’ll finish with 11 players on the pitch

  • Bobby1954 says:

2-0 at halftime…..what the **** are Carroll and Ayew doing on the pitch ……BILIC HAS TO GO!

  • Lazurus. rises like a salmon says:

Can someone tell me what Carroll is doing on the pitch. Totally not interested , is he a winger , c/h , m,/f ??? Or is he just injured ?? Where was noble for the first goal ?? No pace , no vision , no good !! Ayes ??? Fernandez ?? Cresswell is not a defender !!! Byrum ? And spurs are in second gear , playing with us , no threat at all ?? Lanzini is trying his nuts off + !!
Flat and paceless ! Shyte!! 😈

  • jimbo says:

What is Carroll doing? Grazing, as you’d expect from a donkey. Wholesale changes yet the same paceless, clueless, disjointed drivel as Friday night. We’ve changed the players but been served more of the same, so the next change has to be Bilic. Frankly I’ve no idea how one person could so massively damage our team like he has. I’d describe it as shockingly bad but I’m no longer shocked. A spud at work said he’d be gutted if they didn’t beat us 5-0. I think his prediction could prove to be a conservative one.

  • West Ham Fan No 32 says:

Its pretty clear the team are just waiting for Bilic to be sacked…

    • West Ham Fan No 32 says:

hahaha I take it all back Ayew has obviously worked them out hahahahaha

      • West Ham Fan No 32 says:

hahahahaha why have all my Spud mates switched their phones off hahahahahahahahaha never been so happy to be proved wrong, not sure why we had to be 2 nil down again to start playing but who cares these are the great nights COYI !!!!

  • Bobby1954 says:

Well what do I know?…..mind you Carroll is still ****!

  • Lazurus. rises like a salmon says:

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I don’t know about you max but my heart can’t take much more of this , thanks ayew but you’re still crap πŸ˜‚ things went for us tonight , spuds got to cocky and we worked harder in the second half , well done ! Done em on their own patch , pochetino,s face was a beauty to behold !
Yes 32 one of them nights but not enough of them !! Can’t believe I’m going to bed happy instead of kicking the missus in a bilic mask πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
Ogee ogee ogee oi oi oi πŸ˜‰
