Hammer would be devastated to leave West Ham

|

CollinsJames Collins says he would be devasted to leave West Ham again saying his stint at Aston Villa killed him.

Collins told Ken Dyer in the London Standard “Nothing has been said to me. I don’t know if it’s [talks of a new deal] on the back burner. If nothing happens in January, I could be left in the lurch come the end of the season.

“I would be devastated if I had to go. I did it once before when I went to Aston Villa and it ‘killed’ me.

“If it comes to the worst, though, I’d probably have to go because, at my age, I need to play football.

I don’t get it Ginge as been an excellent servant yea getting older but as been crucial for us this season & is fine being a bit part player doesn’t complain he is on low wages.
And you can’t buy the loyalty & passion Ginge has for the club not saying give him 5 year deal like did w Reid but give him a year & let him work on coaching badges. To me he has been better then Reid this season who I think is overrated at times.

But u think selling him in Jan would be massive mistake & would upset a lot of fans. Brighton offered 2.5 year deal but he still wants to stay here loves the club & is a good leader. Don’t think we should sekk anyone but could get more for Fonte £6m & he is same age.

Ginge deserves a year then I’d like to see him move in to coaching & be player if needed next season.

Ginge deserves a two year deal to see out his football career . He has been our last line of defense since forever . It would be almost impossible to find a player like on the Planet , yet alone anywhere else . He has saved us from certain defeat on innumerable occasions with his courage and commitment . Make him an honorary member of West Ham United and put up a Flag . Make him or give him a coaching role . God knows we need it . He deserves Legendary Status .
