Oxford, Burke, Cullen updates

|

_99392235_oxford_gettyReece Oxford’s West Ham days look to be behind him after David Moyes allowed him to depart for Germany and Borrusia Monchengladbach today.

And the teenager will be hoping to pick up his life where he left it by making an immediate return to the Bundesliga side’s first team.

David Moyes looks to have called time on Oxford’s West Ham career by allowing him to leave the club despite a massive injury crisis and a shortage of midfield players.

And with the German outfit keen to sign the teenager permanently – although they will have competition from FC Leipzieg – it’s likelyย  that Oxford has spent his last month at the Irons.

Moyes has also released Reece Burke to continue his loan spell at Bolton Wanderers believing he needs more Championship experience. The defender looks set to return to their defence against Bristol City on Friday evening.

However, the manager has decided to keep Josh Cullen at the club and there will be no return to Bolton for the young midfielder.

The sheer grandeur of the Olympic Stadium aspirations continue to stagger me.

Have we got any players left?,Fear not Hammers fans as i hear that Sully has Dendoncker on his back at this very moment and is now swimming the channel to get back to Stratford in order to save money and get the medical and fine print sorted before 11pm.

Knowing sully he had it done in Belgium on his E11 card and claim it back ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

seen it all before with previous owners selling off the crown jewels from the academy. oxford could be the next ferdinand but this tells me our owners are not playing the long game but are more interested in short term gain.

Agree he could have been the next Ferdinand Clive, time will tell of course we rarely played him as a CB and that is what he is, I think he is best off in Germany learning a new culture and growing into something different with probably better coaching than he would receive in the UK.

Hearing murmurs that the Dendoncker deal is looking iffy, as weโ€™re running out of time to carry out the medical. Could of course be total ๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿ’ฉ
If true, Groundhog Day anyone? Sully (allegedly) used this excuse for not signing Carvalho whilst being jostled (or engaged in conversation to you and me) by those nasty, horrid WHU fans at Wigan.
Personally, Iโ€™m not surprised (is any West Ham fan) that he may not be coming to us, as we wonโ€™t be getting that much from the Swans-we still owe them for the original Ayew transfer. Perhaps the cuddly Cossack is a bit short (he he) this month and canโ€™t afford the next installment.

    • West Ham Fan No 32 says:

Much like Carvalho MMG if you want to sign a deal you can sign it subject to a medical so it could be signed then if he fails a medical it becomes null and void. Sully’s line about the medical with Carvalho was a load of b/s.

        Sully?
No, youโ€™ve gone too far this time 32๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

  • Lazurus. rises like a salmon says:

You can do the deal pending the medical so long as the paperwork is signed and dotted before closure ? Well something like that I think ? Anyone ??? Not looking good is it ! Its pretty much what we expected !! Still a few hours for the hard work ๐Ÿ˜‚ to pay off !!๐Ÿ˜Ž

There is also the fact that he didn’t want to play for us any more. Moyes would never keep him like that.
If you look at Rice he is streets ahead of Oxford, even though Oxford started 2 years earlier.
I am sick he is gone, but it was always his own doing.

When I first went to live in Germany. I was highly paid and had lots of fun. It was all excitement and new.
After a year and a half, the shine was gone and it was time to move on. How long will it take for him to get bored and start relaxing when he should be training hard. The problem was always in his head and still needs fixing. I hope he is bored by June then he might re-think and come back to us.
