Adrian’s great ‘Grandad Day’

|

GrandadAdrian had a double reason for celebration yesterday – he was watched by his 89 year old grandfather on his first trip ever out of Spain …and of course the stopper kept his first ever clean sheet.

Adrian said: “My grandfather watched me play every time I played in Real Betis, but this is the first time he has come to watch me play in England.

“He is a very old man and this is the first time he has been out of Spain, but he has enjoyed it very much.

“I didn’t have too much work to do, but I prefer this because this is a good situation for the team.

“Now we have the international break and we have a chance to rest and relax with our family and friends – maybe I’ll even get back to Spain for a few days!

“It’s really important because we can then come back again after the break for Burnley, which is a good chance for us to get something.”
