Robert Snodgrass has been punished by the Football Association after being found guilty of making offensive comments made to doping officials at Rush Green.
In a statement West Ham say on their official website: West Ham United can confirm that the Football Association has suspended Robert Snodgrass for one match and fined the player £30,000 following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing, in respect of a charge over alleged offensive comments made towards Doping Officials during a routine training ground visit.
The suspension is not currently effective while the player considers his right of appeal, pending receipt of the written reasons.
30 grand and a ban for a few words. The FA must have another beano coming up soon. Unbelievable.
never heard anything so utterly stupid £30,000 for having a joke whats the game coming to. and what about free speech and all that thought we were in a democracy in this country.
The FA are a utter joke. Hennessey giving a Nazi salute, then having the audacity to say he didn’t know what it meant. Then being let off with no punishment. Or Snodgrass having a joke with doping officials, and getting £30,000 fine & a 1 match ban. This is West Ham lets fine them, The club should appeal to this judgement, asking how they came to the Hennessey result. Which is more disturbing a Nazi salute or a few words to officials.
