Former Hammer still without a club

|

Our former keeper Adrian who departed the club back in is still unsuccessfully trying to find a new club.

The popular Spaniard – who was with the Irons for precisely six years –  was with West Ham for exactly six 6 years on 1st July and something of a cult hero during his Upton Park days.

He played 125 games for the Hammers in the Premier League and it was believed that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp saw him as a potential back up keeper at Anfield this summer.

However, that hasn’t happened and after rejecting the offer of a new deal put to him by the Hammers he is now struggling to find a club on the sort of wages he commanded at the London Stadium – believed to be in the range of £35k a week.

The arrival of Lukasz Fabainski in magnificent Hammer of the Year form all season long after Adrian had previously  his place to both Darren Randolph and Joe Hart, was the final nail in the 32 year old’s coffin coffin and the Hammers have since signed Roberto Jimenez and David Martin as back-ups to Fab.
