West Ham have risen two places to 18th according to Deloitte’s Football Money League 2020.
Barcelona have overtaken Real Madrid to become the world’s richest football club.
Manchester United remain the richest Premier League club with recorded income of €711.5m (£627.1m) for 2018-19 but may soon find their status as the Premier League’s financial powerhouse under threat from Manchester City and Liverpool, says Deloitte.
Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain complete the Football Money League top five, with Manchester City, Liverpool, Spurs and Chelsea the other English teams in the top 10.
West Ham increased revenue by £15m with an improved final Premier League position of 10th. The Hammers are one of only two teams in the Money League top 20 who did not play in European competition.
West Ham numbers:
Matchday Revenue: €30.8m (£27.1m)
Broadcasting Revenue: €144.5m (£127.4m)
Commercial Revenue: €41.1m (£36.2m)
Total Revenue: €216.4m (£190.7m)
If we are 18th in the WORLD!! why are we in a relegation dogfight every year and scrapping around at loan deals .
Because GSB have little influence over majority of the revenue that gets raised, but a lot of influence over how it gets spent.

Making a serious point and not meant as a negative, more a discussion point. Based on this and the teams around, are we as supporters really setting our sights too high to have top 7-8 aspirations year on year? Or are we mismanaged?
That makes us 7th in revenue terms in the PL, with a big gap (over (£200m ) to Arsenal in 6th? I am guessing that there are a lot of PL clubs close to us in the £180m – £250m bracket. So these figures explain why we are not in the top six but not why we are doing worse than many of the other clubs with smaller, but similar, revenues. I reckon part of the answer is that at eg Leicester & Wolves the owners are putting in more dosh which is not counted as revenue. After that I can only suggest the explanation for our abysmal record is down to how efficiently clubs with similar revenues spend their money? This is not intended to start another pro/anti board discussion that goes round in circles. But like AD above I would like to hear some ideas. It is not disloyalty/moaning/ negativity to look at the facts,put forward a theory & come to a conclusion. I am not joining any protests or demonstrations. I am not even saying ‘sack the board’. But I really genuinely would like some suggested explanations if people have other ideas.
Perhaps a bit of a wild statement to say we have performed worse than ‘many other’ similar clubs. Having nothing better to do I compared our average league position since 2015, including the current one for 2019/20, to the averages for a few other clubs. We come out with an average of 11th. This is well below Leicester & Wolves (7th-although Wolves only have the last two seasons), & below Everton (9th). But it is slightly better than CP & Southampton (12th). This was a bit better than I expected, but given we have the highest revenue (& I don’t know the revenues for the others apart from Everton) there are still grounds for saying we have under performed over those five seasons. And this includes our ‘standout’ season of 2015/16. Without that we average 12.5-the worst of those clubs.
