All 25 Hammers rated over the ‘season’

|

So it looks certain the season is done and as a result here’s Hugh’s ratings for every Hammer who pulled on the shirt this campaign,

Roberto: Disaster 0

Martin: Did a much needed job over his few games 6

Randolph: Did well in three games on his return 6

Fabianski: He has plenty of credit in the bank to atone for the mistakes we have seen. Still a great keeper 7

Fredericks: Hit and miss and now so injury prone 4

Zaba: The age factor a problem of course but always the steady Eddie when required 6

Masuaku: Disappointing as a left back 2

Ngakia: What a discovery – young player of the year. Not put a foot wrong over his four games. Rating can only be based on limited appearances. Could have been more 7

Balbuena: A million miles from where he was last season 3

Diop: Excellent over the last few games having recovered from indifferent spell 8

Ogbonna: Hammer of the Year for me – fabulous stuff Oggy 9

Cresswell: Never better than average but competent job by and large 6

Rice: Overworked in midfield during the bad times but still better than most and some top performances included 7.5

Noble: Time catching up but the leadership qualities are still there even if the standards ebbed and flowed 5

Fornals: Grown into the squad in a big way. Hard to dislodge  when footie returns 7

Snodgrass: Five goals and some fabulous assist – 100 per center. Nothing but admiration 7

Anderson: Marmite individual who for me should have given much more considering the price tag 4.5

Lanzini: Very poor season indeed 2

Sanchez Need I say more 1

Wilshere Sick note 1

Soucek: Sadly saw very little of him but looks a fine acquisition 6

Antonio: Injured for too long of course but the heartbeat of our attacking effort when fit 8

Yarmolenko: Injury hit again and not too great when around 3

Bowen: He’s gonna be a top man. Terrific eye for goal and with all the determination and fighting ability in the world 6.5

Haller: Has always need the partner of whom he  has too often been  deprived. Far better when in a two 6.5

Ajeti Not up to the Premier League yet 1

“So it looks certain the season is done” really? We don’t know yet?.other than that i think your ratings are spot on hugh.
You somehow missed out arthur, although i would like to forgot about him myself.
My rating for arthur would be good going forward and a good crosser of the ball but his defending is atrocious and an accident waiting to happen….4

Antonio an 8??? Sure, we’ve looked better with him on the pitch but still only 2 goals all season and against Arsenal was the reason we lost. 6 for me. Good few games, runs his socks off but that should be minimum requirement. When fit earlier in the season offered little

    Hammer Rite,
Musuaku is an accident which happens every time that he runs out onto the pitch – unbelievable that he earns his living by , allegedly, playing football ! Yes, pretty much agree with Hugh’s rankings.
