West Ham linked to former Arsenal midfielder

West Ham are this morning reported to be chasing Marseille’s Matteo Guendouzi.

And they are apparently not alone with Aston Villa and  Newcastle United also involved in fancying the 24 year old midfielder who was with Arsenal between 2018 – 2022.

It’s claimed the Ligue 1 side are planning to reshape the squad and that Guendouzi is possibly available at around £20  million.

L’Equipe state Aston Villa ‘remains the most credible destination’ for Guendouzi. and reuniting with his former manager, Unai Emery, could convince Guendouzi to pick Aston Villa.

With Declan Rice on his way this summer we will no doubt be linked with any number of midfielders as we have already seen.

But the Hammers with a small fortune from his sale in the bank will be careful not to pay over the odds for any target.
