A big question: Should he stay where he is or come home?

I’m a big admirer of Grady Diangana, a very promising and talented footballer who we are very fortunate to have in our ranks.

The impact he made when he first burst onto the scene last season was nothing short of sensational. Along with Declan Rice, Grady confirms the future of our club is in good hands.

Manuel Pellegrini took the decision in the summer Grady would best continue his progress by going out on loan to West Bromwich Albion, under the guidance of former West Ham manager Slaven Bilic, a man he obviously trusts.

Grady has been a huge success for Bilic, and a big hit with the Baggies’ faithful. His thrilling performances have made a significant contribution to West Brom’s push for promotion to the Premier League – helping take them to where they are now, sitting pretty at the top of the Championship.

Now there appears to be an option for us to recall Grady in January. The big question is – should we rr would it be more beneficial for the player to remain in the midlands to continue his education?

And on a personal front have the opportunity of picking up a Championship Winner’s medal into the bargain.

If he returned would Grady be guaranteed a first team place with us, the way he has been with Albion? Or would he be more often be handed a role on the bench – with a chance to come on when required?

What’s best for Grady? What’s best for us? What would you do?

Don’t do anything knee-jerk and let the lad continue his development at the baggies. Realistically with Antonio coming back and Pelle still seemingly intent on giving Fornals minutes he’s not going to get a fair crack of the whip. 10-15 mins a week at best

Leave him be. A season of championship football is going to be far more beneficial for his career than potential cameo appearances from the subs bench for the Hammers.
A win – win scenario for us, WBA and Grady come the end of the season.

When WBA get promoted they will want to hold onto him!

I think we need to give Nathan Holland a chance ahead of bringing grady back early. I believe without injury he would have had that chance last season. Perhaps this was pellegrinis thinking in the summer.
