A SHOCKING STAT TO MAKE US THINK!

|
GrantNo manager in West Ham’s recent history – with the possible exception of Glenn Roeder – has taking more stick than Avram Grant (right).
If a poll were taken seeking to discover the “all time worst” Avram would be right up there – or should it be down there – among the major contenders.
But I came across a stat this morning which should give us all real food for thought
Back on March 5 of the  2010-11 season after we had beaten  Stoke City 3-0 the team was left on 31 points from 29 games – identical to our position around four years on.
Grant managed just seven wins and 10 draws up to March. He only managed another two draws in the remaining nine games relegating us.
This season has  been one of the most anxious many of us have faced and we’ve managed eight wins and seven draws so perhaps it’s fair to ask: “How far have we come.”
For the record our run in back then was Spurs, Manchester United, Bolton Wanderers, Villa, Chelsea, Manchester City, Blackburn, Wigan and Sunderland with those two draws coming against Spurs and  Rovers.
