The hope was always that the ‘key players’ amongst West Ham’s squad would fall in line behind Jarrod Bowen once the England International signed his revised contract and committed himself to the fight as a West Ham player next season.
Tomas Soucek, injured and out for a couple of months, had already confirmed his own intentions to remain at the club and do his utmost to secure promotion next season.
And now from West Ham’s own web site comes a clear statement of intent from Mads Hermansen.
Buried deep within the interview, the Danish number 13 – Nuno’s first choice keeper – makes his own position crystal clear:
“The league is so tough physically.

Hermansen – looking forward to repaying the fans next season
“Every team wants to beat West Ham as well and I think that always gives an extra 5-10% for the opponent. But, yeah, it’s going to demand a lot of us to try to win every game, because that needs to be our mentality because we want to go straight back up again.
“So it’s going to be tough, but I know with the right work and the good hard work we do, we can make it….
We’re really grateful as players for all the support that we get.”
And then the confirmation of his intent for next season:
“And we look forward to giving it back, to show on the pitch and to win a lot of the games this season, so it’s going to be really good.”
Bowen – tick. Soucek – tick. Hermansen – tick. Next? Hopefully defender Dinos Mavropanos will put pen to paper on the revised offer that Daniel Kretinsky has put to him: That’ll start to look like a pretty solid spine of a side to build around.
so he should his 9 goal in 2 games we might not have been relegated
Keep taking the meds!
Get rid of them all they got us relegated! they are no good lets go out and splash millions and millions on world cup stars why would they not want to come to West Ham……lets start competing for real come on everyone knows how big we are and stop pandering to also rans and those who think they are better! It’s the same players that got us relegated. Who knows if they’re good enough to get us promoted. Let’s hope so.
