West Ham striker Michail Antonio has emerged as a transfer target for Turkish giants Galatasaray.

Adding a further twist to the story, Turkish media sources suggest Antonio’s agents have approached the club with the idea of a move to Galatasaray, where manager Okan Buruk is reportedly keen on bolstering his attacking options ahead of the January transfer window.

However, it is highly unlikely that West Ham would sanction a move during this campaign, particularly given the uncertainty surrounding Niclas Füllkrug.

With the 34-year-old’s contract set to expire next summer, Antonio could sign a pre-contract agreement with the Turkish giants, who can offer the long-time Hammers servant Champions League football.

West Ham received an approach from a Saudi Pro League club for Antonio during the summer 2023 transfer window, but the Jamaica striker decided not to move. However, with the potential to leave on a free transfer in June 2025, it seems unlikely this will be Antonio’s final season at The London Stadium.

Speculation linking Brazilian striker Yuri Alberto with a Hammers move has been intensifying in recent days with West Ham fully aware that a new forward is needed. Julen Lopetegui’s side have lacked goals this season with Antonio and Danny Ings scoring one goal each and Fullkrug unsurprisingly failing to find the net during his limited game time.

Michail Antonio won’t be going very far away from London Town. Too much domestic disruption for that to happen.
