Hammers striker Niclas Füllkrug will not be in the matchday squad for the Newcastle United vs West Ham Premier League fixture on Monday night.
Claret & Hugh has been informed by our top West Ham source that the German striker will not make the bench for the away fixture at St. James’ Park.
Furthermore, the Hammers insider has also revealed that they have no idea when the German striker will return to action for the Irons.
This means Füllkrug will miss what amounts to a must-win game for Hammers gaffer Julen Lopetegui, who is under increasing pressure and close to losing his job as head coach.
Jarrod Bowen is currently the club’s top goal scorer with three goals, while the second-highest scorer, Mohammed Kudus, is suspended for the next two fixtures.
The exclusive news raises the question of precisely when Füllkrug will recover and be passed fit to play. The £27m summer signing from Dortmund was injured on international duty in September but was initially expected to miss just three weeks.
However, it now looks unlikely he’ll play before December, with club doctors exploring alternative treatments and remedies for what has become a mysterious Achilles injury.
Flobalob if you are talking to me l suggest you ask GONZO for the truth.
Sorry the penny’s dropped ! your acting all innocent because you’ve been instructed to keep it under wraps . as the board need to get as much compensation as possible. am I right ✅️ don’t answer that.
YOU will find that I’ve been saying about his prolonged injury for a number of WEEKS with a REALISTIC prognosis of recovery time with a INDEFINITE timescale . All of which you choose to ignore! and show yourself as ignorant. what a xxxxxxx waste of time making a sensible comment to you lot !
What the HELL are you TALKING about???
Not much of a breaking exclusive
I could have told you that
You should have then. You would have had a scoop! 🙄
So Niclas Füllkrug is said to be wanting out of the club that paid a lot of money for him and all he has given us is about an hour of his matchday playing time. For sure, it was Lopetegui’s decision to restrict him to crumbs in just the three games but nevertheless you would have expected more commitment. I have read that he hasn’t ben able to settle in England but he’s been spending time back in Germany so it is not surprising. It’s all very disappointing for all concerned.
I am wondering if Edin Terzic’s rumoured possible appointment might have something to do with Füllkrug wanting out. They were both at Dortmund for the 2023-24 season, it seems. I wonder if they got on ok there?
Terzic is reported to have had problems with several senior players at Dortmund who took issue with his playing style. So if this is the case I suppose it’s possible that Fullkrug was one of them. But couldn’t say for certain.
Thanks, Jay, for your comment. It could be possible that we could have yet another player mutiny then if Terzic gets the job! 😬
