Anderson reveals how squad kept the faith in him

|

Felipe Anderson has paid tribute to his Hammers team-mates who never lost faith in the club’s record signing.

His inconsistent form prior to yesterday (Sat) has been a greater worry to the fans rather than the players who have been behind him from Day one.

The Brazilian told the club’s official website: “The Premier League is really hard, really strong and everybody is really strong,”

“I had to adapt and my teammates always told me they had faith in me regardless if I played well or badly and that has been really important for my adaptation and to be able to show my game.”

You don’t get the finished article straight away with these sort of players. He’s got the skills. It’s just a confidence thing. It’s probably only inconsistency that stops players like this from playing at the highest level. Let’s face it if Anderson played like he did against Burnley every game we wouldn’t have stood a chance of signing him. he would be playing in the same team as his big brother, Neymar. I always allow South American’s a lot of time to adjust to the premier league personally, ever since Carlos Tevez who took a long long time before we saw him at his best.
