Antonio and Payet valued at £68m

Dimi Payet has been valued at £36m while Michail Antonio has been valued £31.8m in a list of the world’s 100 most expensive players. In total, of the 100 players listed by the Football Observatory, 40 are from the Premier League, and nine are English.

Neymar who David Sullivan claims he once tried to buy  for West ham is number one valued at £217m, Messi is number 2 at £150m. Payet makes no. 82 in the list proving that West Ham are right to hold out for bids between £30-35m after rejecting a bid from Marseille for £20m of which only £10m was up front. The 29 year old Frenchman was bought for £10.7m in 2015 from Marseille but they will need to pay three times that amount to bring hime home.

Michail Antonio completes the table at number 100 but at nearly £32m it is a massive increase on the £7m we paid Nottingham Forest in 2015 not that we would ever want to sell him.
