Antonio move? The truth!

|

Michail Antonio will be staying at West Ham despite regular reports that he could soon be on his way to Crystal Palace.

The former Hammer of the Year looked to be coming back to his old self against Mainz in the Betway Cup victory last night during a very good first half.

After such a long term injury problem that was encouraging but ClaretandHugh learned today that he is very much on the manager’s “STAY” list.

Rumours and speculation that he could be allowed to leave for around £15 million represent fake news although Cheik Kouyate will be allowed to move to south London for that sort of fee.

We were told categorically this morning that Antonio is seen as being an important player and that he is very much part of the manager’s plans.

A top source told us: “Let’s get this straight. Antonio is not for sale.”

Kouyate, however, is looking for a very big deal which Palace, after spending heavily last summer, may not be able to meet.

If Zaha gets sold in the last few days I suspect Palace will be very busy, I can see him going to Spurs

No 32 could you imagine Zaha, Dele Ali and Kane on the same pitch together? It’d be like watching newborn Giraffes taking their first steps on an ice rink! There’d be more diving than the Olympic high board competition.

It’s good to see Antonio is staying he is great on his day and will have to be great more often with the competition for places. This will improve the entire squad. As for Kouyate he was great when he joined but just think his form has dipped as he’s heart is not at the hammers any more. His true worth imo will be around 12.5 – 15 million as someone will get a bargain at that price. To finish the re ruitment I think we need a class CDM & we will have some team. COYI .

No reason to sell Antonio, we need him . Full stop .

So after all the articles stating Antonio would be available for sale at the right price turns out no one was willing to pay that price. I wonder if his scoring that preseason goal changed someone’s mind about selling him.
