Arrogant Arsenal refuse to play ball
Arrogant Arsenal appear to believe they can nick our finest player and probably the best defensive defender around in Declan Rice but reject any offer as part of a deal for one of their own far lesser lights!
As reported elsewhere on CandH, one of the latest developments in the saga is that we want Emile Smith Rowe as part of the deal in order to procure a lower transfer fee for Rice. Yet Gunners boss Mikel Arteta has made it clear there is no way he will sell him.
This is the man who made just 14 starts for Arsenal last season. It’s is the man who apart from his breakthrough season, seems to be somewhat on the frail side when it comes to injuries. Yet this is the man the manager refuses to let leave.
Don’t get me wrong, Smith Rowe is only 22, a fine player with a potentially great future. The word there is ‘potentially’ as Arteta himself will be very aware.
But frankly if he won’t allow a prospect to leave why should we let Declan go to north London with Arteta wanting everything on his own terms
And finally the fact that Declan Rice has a number of suitors both here and abroad it is by no means a done deal that he will be off the The Emirates.
West Ham should tell Arteta and Arsenal to shove his bid where the sun don’t shine! There are other clubs still very interested or Declan could stay a Hammer. Maybe he can captain us to a Europa League trophy!
Not sure why we even asked about him..Let’s move on and just do a straight deal.
