Bad loser Lawrenson can’t take it

|

MarkLawrenson1Mark Lawrenson deserves every bit of abuse he receives from Hammers fans this morning after a new attack on the team.

He has followed up his patronising : “ I worry a little about West Ham ” with something far worse.

The deadly dull pundit had added in a BBC interview: “They are under pressure and, with the goals they conceded in their defeat by Bournemouth, they did not look like a team.

“So the Hammers have got to sort themselves out – I just don’t think Anfield is the place to do it.”

Despite being proved conclusively wrong via a top class Irons performance yesterday the former Kop player has shown himself to be a graceless, charmless individual and  a very bad loser.

Here’s a section of what he has to say for himself in today’s Liverpool Echo!

West Ham are going to finish down towards the bottom of the league, they’re not a particularly good team.

This is the guy who has shown himself to be a ‘no mark’manager and pundit.I probably pay him too much attention but this can’t be allowed to pass without comment.

His managerial career extended to Oxford in 1988 when resigned following the sale of Dean Saunders before a brief playing comeback in the Conference with Barnet!

He then lasted from September 6, 1989 until November 1990 with Peterborough United where he experienced another unsuccessful spell.

He was as poor as a manager as he is as a pundit. Ok that’s off my chest. Let’s move on.

Hanson were a pair of softies, lucky to,play with Keegan HighwayCallahan Toshack Thompson Smith,
Anyone could have fitted into that team in defence,
All they ever say isLiverpool will win the league every other team are lucky ect ect ,
It takes. A big man to say I got it so wrong,
Keown did not do it last night just took the pis out of Slav English about parking a HGV
Bus of some sort ( it was funny ) but no more than Gullitts English
Just say you were wrong nob head

  • West Ham Fan No 32 says:

He is an outdated dinosaur, I am glad the Liverpool contingent are seen a lot less (Hansen included), if the BBC can now do away with the boring drivel from Shearer and Lineker also it would be greatly appreciated. These may have been great players (or not in Lawrenson’ case) but as pundits they are woeful, mostly monotone and clueless they come up with their populist quotes and cliche’s and generally send us to sleep with their inept analysis and heavilly edited “highlights”. Apologies Hugh but I share your pain so couldn’t help chipping in !!!

  • bubs says:

You can add Fowler and Murphy to that as well,
Thompson is an idiot on sky as well
Must be something in the air or to much Scouse ( sloppy stew ) with no dumplings

  • markro says:

I’m actually happy for him to say it.

It’ll show what a mega-mug he really is when he’s wrong again.

  • markro says:

All these ex-Loserpool pundits sound tired all the time – which is probably more than can be said for their cars.

  • Dainon says:

All these comments and nobody’s mentioned Graeme Souness yet .. Another ex-liverfool player with anti-West Ham tendency’s.

We’re building quite a large collection of washed up deadbeat old farts – its great fun proving them wrong 🙂

  • bubs says:

It’s going to be a long season for the pundits, apart from Man City I can see Chelski,Liverpool,Arsenal,Spuds,Everton, having some shockers,
Let’s wait and see what they do against Leicester and Bournemouth no ones push over,
Dalglish is another that can talk rot to,

  • CraigG says:

This guy really needs to be taken off the box & shunted into a little cupboard at BBC.He is a total d#ckhead!!!

  • bubs says:

Trouble is the cupboards full and if you put him in you let one of the others out,
It nice not to see Savage or Murphy,
For got about Collymore ex scouser but he did have us down to beat the gooners

  • Stingray Stewart says:

Lol,i always think Murphy is one of the more reasonable ones, but that aint difficult when compared to Shearer,Keown,Savage & the rest on the BBC 😉

  • essexclarets says:

Time to replace Liverpools 80s team mates as pundits for a younger generation of explayers.

  • The Demon says:

Liverpool just need to recognise they’re not a football power any more, and they’re drifting down to the level where they’ll meet clubs like us coming up. The pundits will start to disappear as their contracts expire and they become less relevent – and we’ll see more Mancs, Chelski and then City boys take their place. So long as Big Fat Slug also disappears from view, the replacements for the Scouse media Mafia can’t be much worse.

In the meantime, let’s face it – we’re smiling and on current form and Brendan will be P45’d by Christmas. Ain’t life grand with the handbrake off?

  • hammersfan01 says:

To quote the great Ronnie Barker – “charmless nerk”

  • bubs says:

    jason cundy, Dietmar hamman?

  • cas_blue says:

Can’t stand the man. Clearly has a dislike to West Ham. Predicts we will lose every week. The man also thinks he is witty with one liners. He’s not funny, knows nothing and looks like my son’s geography teacher. He’s a bell end too. (The teacher, not my son obviously).
