Balbuena gets ready for The Terriers

|

Fabian Balbuena has become a revelation over recent weeks as he and his relationship with Issa Diop at the back has become one of the exciting developments of the West Ham team.

Whilst much of the emphasis has been on the front men and, after Saturday, Grady Diangana and Felipe Anderson in particular, the Paraguyan and his defensive partner have been in great form.

Sadly their first lapses over recent weeks came in the fine win over Burnley when two goals hit the back of our nest.

Diop has already made his disappointment clear insisting that he is looking for more and more clean sheets from the Hammers.

Balbuena meanwhile – at a fee of around £4 million – is turning into one of the bargain buys of the summer after an early period of readjustment, along with rest of the new boys – .

Despite the two goals conceded on Saturday afternoon, Balbuena was very happy indeed with a victory, achieved  via some fine football which augurs very well indeed for the future.

And in his first interview since joining the club – via the club’s official website at www.whufc.com he said of the victory: ““We created chances and in the last minutes, we created a lot of chances and we tried until the end to get the victory and we are happy that we got that.”

“We know the quality that Felipe has, which is a lot, and it’s the same with Marko [Arnautovic], Chicharito and all the other guys on the pitch. “We must keep going, keep working and think now about the next game.”(Huddersfield)
