David Moyes is as bemused as most of us over claims that Andy Carroll is on Antonio Conte’s list of targets for January.
We reported the bewildering story from The Sun yesterday after they claimed the striker was wanted as a back up forward to Alvaro Morato at Stamford Bridge.
They then appeared to defeat their own “logic” by using his comments that he he was frustrated at his lack of game time at West Ham as a possible reason.
That failed to take account of the fact that by moving to Chelsea he would find himself in precisely the same position as he is at West Ham.
Moyes was entirely bemused when questioned about it by Sky Sports and simply said: “I know absolutely nothing about that.”
No surprise there then – move on!
